Narendra Modi is only Indian shortlisted by TIME for ‘Person of the Year’ title

Shri. Narendra Modi, India’s most loved politician is shortlisted by the U S A magazine TIME for ‘Person of the Year’ 2013 title. Shri. Narendra Modi is only representative from India to figure out in this list. The world famous magazine TIME has shortlisted 42 famous and influential personalities from across the world represented by  global political leaders, entrepreneurs and celebrities for its ‘Person of the Year 2013’ . The final name is likely to be appear during next month. Apart from Shri. Narendra Modi, Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, US President Barack Obama, Pakistani teenage education activist Malala Yousafzai, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden,  New Jersey governor Chris Christie, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo, J P Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon, Pope Francis, Oscar winner Angelina Jolieand, International Monetary Fund head Christine Lagarde, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Germany’s re-elected Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the new heir to the British throne Prince George are also in the fray. Out of these US President Barack Obama has been named once again for this year too. Among all the contenders, Shri. Narendra Modi is second leading as on November 26 with 10,400 votes securing almost 9.30% of the total polled votes.
